Privacy Policy

Rooms

• Rooms are temporary by default and are removed after a day with nobody in them.
• A subscriber can make a room permanent, and can undo that at any time.
• We do not keep a record of what you watch. The address of a video lives in the room's state for as long as the room does, and goes when it goes.
• A room's link is its only key. Anyone holding it can walk in, so share it only with the people you mean to watch with.

Your account

You do not need an account to use HamFilm. Making a room and joining one both work signed out.

• Signing in uses a phone number and a one-time code sent by SMS. There is no password, and we do not ask for an email address.
• We store your phone number, the display name you pick, and a picture if you upload one.
• Your display name and picture are shown to other people in the rooms you join. Your phone number is not.
• We do not sell personal information to anyone.

Payments

• Payments are handled by Zarinpal. We never see or store your card details.
• We keep a record of each payment — its amount, date and reference — so that a subscription can be verified and refunded.

Analytics and cookies

• Any measurement of how the site is used is done with analytics software running on our own servers.
• We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service, and no cookie is set for analytics.
• Room addresses are never sent to analytics. A room link is a key, and it stays out of the records we keep.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it at any time, by writing to support@hamfilm.net.

YouTube

Where the YouTube integration is switched on, a search you type is sent to YouTube to be answered. Google may use it in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
